- A women’s group has been set up in the community. The women receive training and equipment from ICI in order to undertake income generating activities. ICI has donated a grater and a cassava press to the women so that they can produce cassava paste.
- A Community Service Group (CSG) has been formed in the community. Members of the CSG are trained and equipped to assist local farmers on their farms. By providing a source of affordable labour the CSG helps to reduce reliance on children.
- So far the women’s group has planted 13.5 hectares of cassava and a further 0.75 hectares of okra.
