The Laorefla community has a population of 1300 and has been working with ICI since November 2015.
- A Community Child Protection Committee of five members has been formed. Members are trained in awareness raising techniques and equipped to carry out community outreach on the worst forms of child labour.
- A Community Service Group (CSG) has been formed. The CSG has ten members who receive training in agricultural techniques The group provides labour to farmers based on a credit system.
- A rural facilitator has been trained to lead bridging classes in the community. Bridging classes are targeted at children who have been kept out of school and need to catch up on their education. Three classrooms had been built and 60 benches for the bridging classes had been offered.
