Combatting Child Labour in Cocoa: Investor Expectations and Corporate Good Practice

This report outlines the expectations of cocoa industry investors in relation to child labour. It stresses the importance of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights for investors as well as the need for child labour identification and remediation systems. The report discusses the work of Cargill, Mondelez, Barry Callebaut and the World Cocoa Foundation’s CocoaAction Initiative in improving farmer’s livelihoods in cocoa-growing communities.
