Nutritional status among cocoa farming families and underlying causes in Ghana

Written by the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, this report assesses malnutrition and its underlying causes among cocoa farming families in Ghana. According to the report, children under 5 and women in cocoa growing communities experience high rates of anemia which is an indicator of malnutrition. Stunting rates in Ghana’s cocoa producing regions are similar to the national average.
