Oversight of Public and Private Initiatives to Eliminate the Worst Forms of Child Labour in the Cocoa Sector in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana (Second Report)
This second annual report by Tulane University provides oversight of public and private initiatives to eliminate the WFCL and to assess progress made to implement the Harkin-Engel Protocol. Tulane carried out the first set of nationally representative surveys of child labour in the cocoa sector in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. In addition, a range of smaller studies was also implemented. This included a pilot study of child trafficking from Burkina Faso and Mali for work in the cocoa-growing areas.
