Rapid assessment of alternative or additional livelihood for cocoa farmers in the western region of Ghana

Produced by the International Labour Organization, this study sought to identify viable alternative or additional livelihood sources for cocoa families in Ghana using social survey research methods. The study found a number of alternative livelihood options which are available and viable in these communities. They include beekeeping, snail farming, grasscutter rearing and cocoa by‐products production.
