Alexis Kouassi Kouadio and the role of a Monitoring and Remediation Agent

The International Cocoa Initiative implements Child Labour Monitoring and Remediation Systems to tackle child labour and Monitoring and Remediation Agents play an important role. But how do they carry out their work and what role do they play in supporting communities and farming cooperatives? In this short video, Alexis Kouassi Kouadio explains.

Alexis is a Monitoring and Remediation Agent from Cote d’Ivoire. He interacts with farmers and farming households who are connected to his local cooperative. As he explains, his main roles are awareness raising among farmers and assisting with the identification of children in child labour.
