Our Board

The ICI Board is comprised of ten cocoa industry members (manufacturers, processors, traders, and retailers) and eight civil society organisations, including independent experts. Led by ICI's Co-Presidents, members of the Board provide crucial governance, oversight and strategic advice to our operations. Our Board Advisors, the International Labor Organization (ILO),the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights (OHCHR), and UNICEF provide crucial guidance and expertise to our work.

Our Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is comprised of ICI’s Co-Presidents, one industry board member, one civil society board member, and ICI’s treasurer. The Committee is responsible for enacting decisions made by ICI’s Board in support of the organisation’s objectives.

Our Members

ICI’s membership comprises both industry players (farming cooperatives, cocoa traders, cocoa processors, and cocoa and chocolate manufacturers) and non-industry organisations (Civil Society Organisations, certification bodies, farmer representations). Our Secretariat and national offices

ICI’s Secretariat is based in Geneva, Switzerland, and our in-country operations are led from our national offices in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, and Accra, Ghana. Our teams lend their expertise, knowledge and influencing capacity to support our members on the ground, engage with national authorities and all relevant stakeholders in the wider sector.
