Child labour and forced labour are complex issues. We know that to protect children and workers, these issues must first be understood, and solutions must be grounded in evidence.
That’s why, at ICI, innovation and learning has been at the heart of our work for several years.
We drive forward a collective learning and research agenda to increase knowledge of root causes and identify knowledge gaps and needs within the cocoa sector. Together with our members and partners, we also assess existing solutions, test and develop new approaches (through our innovation projects), and share our knowledge with our members and other key stakeholders. Our aim is to contribute to the uptake of good practice, strong policies, and transparent reporting on progress.
