This report, produced by the Understanding Children's Work Programme for the International Labour Organization, brings together information from a variety of national household surveys to provide a detailed picture of child labour and the related challenge of educational marginalisation in the ECOWAS region. The data presented draws comparisons between ECOWAS countries in matters of factors associated with children's employment, nature of children's employment, children's agricultural employment, children's employment and educational marginalisation, and out-of-school children. These comparisons are used to highlight broader trends about the nature of and circumstances around child labour in the region.
