The Jacob’s Foundation, an ICI non-contributing partner, recently announced two new multi-stakeholder initiatives, the Child Learning and Education Facility (CLEF) and Early Learning and Nutrition Facility (ELAN) to tackle child labour in Côte d’Ivoire.
CLEF aims to reach 5 million children and 10 million children in cocoa-growing areas through the provision of quality education. While ELAN’s ambition is to target children below the age of 5 and their carers to enhance their early development and nutrition.
Both initiatives include a wide variety of stakeholders, including several ICI partners and board members, the Jacob’s Foundation, the UBS Optimus Foundation and the Ivoirian Government.
