Fairtrade International is a global network working to share the benefits of trade more equally – through standards, certification, development programmes, market access, and advocacy. Fairtrade International owns the FAIRTRADE Mark, the world’s most recognized ethical label, which is found on products certified according to Fairtrade’s social, economic and environmental standards. Three Fairtrade producer networks co-own the international Fairtrade system, representing more than 1.6 million farmers and workers in Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East, and Asia and the Pacific. More than 25 organisations promote Fairtrade on a national level, connecting farmers and workers with the people who buy their products and encouraging businesses and governments to increase commitments to sustainable production and consumption. Fairtrade works to tackle the root causes of poverty and enable sustainable livelihoods that support farmers and workers and their communities to build a better future.
