Isadore Nii Attoh Armah (Ph.D.) is a dedicated child protection and child labour specialist with over 15 years of experience in strengthening child safeguarding systems and eliminating child labour in Ghana's cocoa sector. Currently at ICI, he leads efforts to integrate Child Labour Monitoring and Remediation Systems (CLMRS) with Ghana's Child Labour Monitoring System (GCLMS). Isadore's work enhances transparency, accountability, and collaboration between cocoa companies, government agencies, and civil society organizations to address child labour risks effectively.
Previously, Isadore played a key role as Project Coordinator at ICI, supporting 42 cocoa-growing communities in developing Community Action Plans to address child labour through community-led interventions. He has designed and facilitated training programs for government officials, child protection stakeholders, and community leaders to strengthen child safeguarding mechanisms. His experience also includes capacity-building initiatives, policy advocacy, and technical support to ensure the effective implementation of child protection frameworks.
Beyond his work with ICI, Isadore has contributed to multiple child rights and protection projects funded by ILO-IPEC, USAID, and DANIDA, focusing on education access, child rights awareness, and community development. His expertise is reflected in co-authored publications, including guides on child labour elimination strategies. Passionate about creating safer environments for children, he continues to advocate for policies and programs that promote child welfare and sustainable development in cocoa-growing communities.
