The United States Department of Labor published its 2016 Findings on the Worst Forms of Child Labour in Côte d’Ivoire. The findings point to a significant advancement in efforts to eliminate the worst forms of child labor in the country. However, children in Côte d’Ivoire still engage in the worst forms of child labor in the harvesting of cocoa and it is suggested that improvements be made in the country’s legal framework, enforcement, coordination among ministries, government policies and social programs.
