The WHO-5 Child Wellbeing Index is a simple tool for measuring children's psychological well being. It consists of five positively worded questions that can be administered in less than five minutes.
This document presents a slightly simplified version of the original tool, developed by the World Health Organisation, with five response options instead of six. This version of the tool has been successfully tested by ICI in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana and has proved suitable for use with children aged 5 to 17.
Consult the guide for an overview of the tool, how to use it and how to analyse the results.
