Child Labour Monitoring and Remediation Systems are embedded in company supply chains and within cocoa-growing communities. These systems help to identify, monitor, remediate and prevent cases of child labour. To do that the role of Community Facilitators like Raymond Assalé is vital.
In this short video Raymond discusses his role as a Community Facilitator within the CLMRS. “With a list of all our producers, we visit each household and explain how to fight against child labour,” he says. Raymond received training from ICI on awareness raising techniques, allowing him to carry out this task effectively.
He also tells us about his most recent project: helping children in his community of Grand-Yapo revise their lessons at home through mobile technology. Find out more below.
This project was carried out in partnership with Nestlé and Eneza Education.
