How do income changes affect child labour? ICI reviews the evidence

The International Cocoa Initiative reviewed evidence on how changes in household income impact child labour, with support from the Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa. The analysis of 50 studies shows a complex relationship: while decreases in household income tend to increase child labour, increases in household income can cause child labour to rise, as well as to fall.
