Mr Nestor N’bandaman joined ICI Cote d’Ivoire as Head of Finance and Administration, based in Abidjan. A qualified Finance and Accountability Manager, Nestor came to us from the Ivorian National Office of Technical Studies and Development (BNETD), where he worked for 22 years, most recently as their Head of Administrative and Financial Support.
Ms Borjana Pervan took up her new post as ICI’s Head of Communications, based in Geneva. A Bulgarian national, with degrees in “Communications and Journalism”, as well as in “Political Science and International Relations”, Borjana first worked as a journalist and reporter, and then as a Communications Officer for the International Organisation of Migration (IOM) and the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO). Most recently, she was Head of Communications at the International Union for Conservation in Nature (IUCN). Borjana has three daughters.
Ms Sherelle Wilson joined us as our new Research Associate. An English national, Sherelle has a Masters Degree in “Poverty and Development”, writing her thesis on Child Labour. She has also worked as a Research Officer at the Institute of Development Studies, and at the UN Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD). Most recently, she worked as a Programme Officer for PACT in Tanzania, where she also investigated Child Labour in the mining sector.
Ms Cecilia Simon also joined us as an Intern, to support the Programme, Communications and Administration teams. Cecilia is a Portuguese national with a degree in “Sociology and Human Rights”, and has also worked as a volunteer in Sri Lanka, South Africa and Bulgaria.
Ms Chamari Tennekoon joined the team in Geneva as our Finance Assistant. A Swiss national of Sri Lankan origin, Chamari has qualifications in Accountancy, and has worked in a number of companies and organizations, including the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). She has a daughter and a son.
Mr Ben Radley joined our Geneva office as Programme Associate. Ben is an English national who received his Masters in Development Studies at the London School of Economics where he investigated the relationship between the intergenerational transmission of poverty and labour in rural sub-Saharan Africa. Ben has a rich experience protecting children’s’ rights in the mining sector in the Great Lakes region with Heartland Alliance. Most recently Ben has been working as a research consultant for several organisations.
Mr Koffi Ulrich De Sales Yao joined ICI Cote d’Ivoire at the beginning of 2014 as Office Manager. Ulrich holds a Diploma in Corporate Communications and is responsible for document and inventory management.
