The Boîte à Livres initiative acts as a reading club in cocoa-growing communities, allowing children to borrow books and take part in reading workshops designed to strengthen their reading skills. ICI has supported the implementation of this initiative in 33 cocoa-growing communities in Côte d’Ivoire, with encouraging results.

This brief presentation shares key findings from the initiative, assessing its effect on children’s reading skills and exploring potential links to child labour reduction.
