This study carried out on behalf of the “Due Diligence Fund” (DDF) as part of the “Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chains Initiative” (SASI) and members of the German Initiative on Sustainable Cocoa (GISCO) assessed the feasibility of a cross-company grievance mechanism in the cocoa sector in Côte d’Ivoire.
It sets a foundation for coordinated efforts within the cocoa industry to implement an effective grievance mechanism accessible to local rightsholders and provides suggestions and ideas for the future implementation of the mechanism.
The study was coordinated through a Steering Committee in which ICI participated.
