This report presents the results of an ICI innovative pilot project that set up child-friendly spaces in three cocoa-growing communities in Côte d'Ivoire. By providing a safe place to play, learn and meet other children, the project aimed to promote children's rights and offer an alternative to going to the fields to work.

In this report, we assess the feasibility of setting up and operating child-friendly spaces in cocoa communities and their effectiveness at protecting children from harm, including from hazardous child labour. We showcase the benefits the child-friendly spaces brought to children, families, and the community.
